Frog Hollow Studio

Frog Hollow studio is located 90kms from both Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Paint in the most idyllic location. Situated 9kms from Rathdowney amongst the mountains and national parks of the Scenic Rim. The purpose built studio looks onto majestic Mt Maroon and Mt Barney.

 

There is a wide range of accommodation in the Scenic Rim area including camping grounds beside the Logan River, Rathdowney Hotel, a typical “Aussie Pub”. There are many bed and breakfast (B&Bs) places in the area with motels and hotels in Boonah and Beaudesert offering a variety of accommodation. Classes and workshops cater for beginners to intermediate. Advanced students are welcome and may wish to paint plein air on the property and other inspiring locations within the area.

Classes and workshops cater for 10 participants and most materials, depending on the class, are provided.

 

Children’s art classes are by an experienced teacher and art tutor. Students begin with the fundamentals and hone their skills and techniques that will enable them to develop their artistic skills in drawing, painting, printmaking and environmental art.

 

Mature students and experienced artists are given one on one in depth direction and encouragement to further their creative inspirations. There are plenty of magnificent, inspiring sites within the Scenic Rim that will take your breath away. These sites are an artists dream site to paint. Outstanding scenery "begging" to be painted and/or drawn.  There will be carefully researched field trips to these inspiring views.
